Plus Size Designer Labels for Women

While years ago finding plus size clothing was a difficult job, and even then it was hard to come up with anything remotely stylish, there are now many plus size designer labels for women that make stylish clothes of all types and materials.  No matter what plus size piece of clothing you are looking for, it is not hard to find an attractive, reasonably priced option or two.

If you are looking for more formal wear for the office, one good brand that makes a number of different skirts and office suits is Jessica London.  They offer not only a good variety of formal wear for the office but also casual clothing – attractive shirts, shorts, pants, sweaters, and long sleeves.

If you are looking for Indie fashion then some good designer labels that make plus size Indie clothes are E.Vil, Rocawear and BabyPhat.  You can find shirts with hip slogans on them, pants and sweaters.  BabyPhat also makes hip hop style clothes, lingerie, dresses and jeans.

It is even possible to find plus size Gothic style clothing, although it is by no means the easiest.  Your best bet would be to look online as there are a few online retailers, such as Crimson Express, that offer fantastic Gothic clothing options.

As far as where to look if you want to buy plus size designer labels for women, if you are looking for casual wear – jeans, sweaters, shirts, pants, lingerie – these are easy enough to find at any large supermarket, such as Wal-Mart.  However, if you are looking for something a bit fancier or more formal, such as designer gowns or formal dresses then the only places you would find these would be either an upscale shop or boutique that specializes in plus sizes.

There are a number of these in some high end malls, although it is a lot easier and simpler to order such items online.  For one, it saves a lot of walking and driving – at the click of a mouse you can find any one of a number of online retailers that offer different plus size labels.  You can compare prices easily; the site will also likely have photos of the clothing too, and they will often offer free shipping.  If it is something you need right away though you might want to double check the shipping options as while some sites offer next day shipping, other sites, or other plus size items, do take a little while before they are shipped.  One particular disadvantage to ordering online, however, is that you can not try on the piece of clothing that you are considering buying and generally speaking can not return it either if you find it does not suit you or you ordered the wrong size by mistake.
